🏌️‍♂️ TOGETHER WITH RAPSODO

The Most Affordable Launch Monitor?

Now with Spin.

The original Rapsodo MLM just received a sweet update. Much like its big brother, the MLM now works with Titleist RCT golf balls to capture spin.

According to Rapsodo, over 7,000 shots were hit between Titleist and Rapsodo from a variety of clubs from wedges to drivers. With a minimum 8 feet of ball flight and 2 rotations, the MLM with Titleist RCT ball averaged within 115 RPMs compared to the highest industry grade launch monitors.

TOUR TALK TUESDAY

What’s Your Favorite Major?

How would you rank your excitement level for each major?

For me, the Open Championship is in the top position, closely followed by the Masters. The U.S. Open is a distant third and the PGA Championship is last.

I look forward to all the majors, but there is a certain energy with the Open Championship that can’t be replicated.

There is nothing like getting up early in the U.S. and watching morning golf that extends into the mid-afternoon. If you are crazy like me, you will set your alarm for 4 a.m. and have the TV on for 12 hours straight.

Links golf is so pure, especially when the wind gets howling and the turf is firm. Players are used to having total control of their ball—the Open Championship can take that luxury away.

There is an element of luck involved, whether it’s getting on the wrong side of the draw or finding a death bunker by a matter of inches. The best player regularly doesn’t win. It’s a tournament where anything can happen.

Add in the yellow scoreboards, every player starting off the first tee, extensive history that dates back more than 150 years, fish n’ chips, knowledgeable crowds and some of the most compelling venues in golf… and you have the best major championship in golf.

The Masters comes close. Ask me again next April and maybe I will have changed my mind.

Our familiarity with the course and tournament traditions makes the Masters an unforgettable ritual.

After that, there is a big gap for me. The U.S. Open and PGA Championship are fairly equal, but the U.S. Open is slightly ahead based on some of its iconic venues.

Neither of them capture the imagination like the Open Championship or Masters.

Enjoy this week. We only get so many Open Championships.
