For scratch, 5hcp, and 10hcp golfers, Par 5s give players the best opportunity to score on the course, playing the closest to par - under par for scratch players!

For 15hcp, 20hcp, and 25hcp golfers, Par 3s play the closest to par with the longer hole types presenting more issues from a scoring perspective - this could suggest distance is holding back lower scores.
