🤯 This New Golf Ball Blew Our Minds
Will you play it?
Greetings Golfer,
The bad news is it’s Monday. The good news is it ain’t so bad. It’s warming up; I’m pretty sure it’s finally golf season for everyone in the USA, and not for anything; we’ve got an awesome week ahead.
In addition to new golf balls and a feature on my favorite apparel brand, our Best Drivers for Mid-Swing Speeds is coming this week. So is a Ball Lab on the Titleist AVX. You can also look forward to a bunch of putter stuff (maybe even the Best Mallets of 2024) and an exclusive offer on a premium rangefinder.
Let’s kick off the week.
📰 TODAY’S SPY NEWS
FIRST LOOK
Snell Prime 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 Golf Balls
Back with a Better Ball
It’s rare for any brand to release new golf balls after just one year. It’s rarer still for a DTC brand, but Dean Snell is different. When the MTB Prime series didn’t live up to expectations, Dean went back to the drawing board. The new balls are faster and more durable, but the real story may be the new Prime 2.0. It’s insanely affordable and offers something that none of the big name brands don’t.
TOGETHER WITH KJUS
KJUS Has Your Back
Covering You in Golf’s Extremes
MyGolfSpy readers probably know KJUS as a leader in the raingear category. The brand has finished on top in our tests several times, but KJUS is about a whole lot more than keeping you dry.
Every piece in the lineup has a purpose, but the goal is the same—to keep you feeling amazing no matter how cold, hot, or, yes, wet it is.
If you don’t believe apparel can be innovative, you really need to check this out.
🧠 GOLF SMARTER powered by SHOT SCOPE
Par 3 Greens in Regulation
It probably won’t come as a surprise that better golfers hit more greens than average golfers do, but did you know that data from Shot Scope shows that, on par 3s between 150 and 200 yards, a 5-handicap golfer is twice as likely to hit the green as a 15?
While there’s a lot of emphasis on driving the ball these days, and the myth of “drive for show, putt for dough” refuses to die, improving approach play and hitting more greens will help you shoot lower scores in a hurry.

lulu is Serious About Golf
A Few Favorites
It wasn’t that long ago that I thought of lululemon as the official athleisure brand of soccer moms shopping at Target on a Saturday afternoon. A lot has changed - and fast. The brand has rapidly become a growing force in the golf apparel space.
No surprise, Connor loves the stuff. Here are some of his favorites.
FIRST LOOK
Stitch Upgrades SL2 Golf Bag
Sensible Improvements
I loved the look of the original Stitch SL2 golf bag, and I know I wasn’t alone. The problem was that I could never figure out where to put my stuff.
The updated SL2 helps solve the problem while adding some other compelling feature enhancements as well.
FIRST LOOK
South Carolina’s Newest Golf Courses
No Comparison at All
Chances are, when you hear “South Carolina” and “golf” in the same sentence, you think Myrtle Beach., but two new highly anticipated courses have opened in Aiken, S.C. The area has its own mini ecosystem of courses developing in the orbit of Augusta National, which sits just across the Savannah River.
