The Best (and Worst) Online Golf Ball Fitting Tools

Can you get fitted for a golf ball while sitting in a chair?

All of the tools we tested are designed with an element of consider your audience (and that’s fine), but if you have any understanding of golf ball performance and how it relates to your game, you’ll likely find most to be incomplete, at best.

Still, out of fairness (and because “they all suck” doesn’t make for much of a guide), I decided to reevaluate to see which online golf ball fitting tools stand out and which are lacking (even for a basic tool).

Here’s what I found.

Is Bryson Our New Favorite?

The Hero We Want (and Pro Golf Needs)

Bryson has pulled the ultimate Mongolian reversal, a reverse Hulk Hogan … whatever you want to call it. In a span so brief it can hardly be measured, Bryson has transformed from a sometimes-petulant heel to the darling of the professional circuit, a fan favorite, and the biggest draw in the game.

And, hell yeah, golf (whether on a major network, the CW, or YouTube) is way better for it.

(Side Note: While Bryson said all the right things about it, my dude absolutely, 100%, not open for discussion, should be on the Olympic golf team.)

In this week’s episode, we discuss Bryson’s transformation and what we can learn from his bag. We also discuss Rory’s expedient exit and the real difference between DTC and big-brand gear.

Jack whipped-up three similar itineraries for us, each of which explores the vibrant golf scene of the Scottish Highlands & Aberdeenshire.
