🚨 Don't Miss These New PING Putters
the return of a cult classic model
Hey Golfer,
My 2 cents; getting sorta banned from the Masters was the best thing that could have happened to Malbon Golf. From day 1, the brand has always had more than a little bit of an anti-establishment vibe and I can’t think of anything more anti-establishment than getting the Two Live Crew treatment from the greencoats.
Jason Day’s strange apparel is nothing less than marketing genius.
How do you follow that up? I guess you bring the …

PING Extends Putter Lineup
Six New “Nameless” Models
In 2023, PING did the unthinkable. They released a line of putters without a name.
The individual putter models had names but not the line as a whole. Ultimately, they were just called the PING Putter line. PING refers to them as the “New PING Putters” on their website.
6️⃣ Today, the “New PING Putter” family grows by six models.
“It’s a very diverse offering but the one thing they all have in common is they offer precision performance on putts of every length.”
Like the previous models, these new PING putters lack a unifying technology. That doesn’t mean they lack technologies. It just means the technologies we see in these putters will be optimized for each head.
Naturally, the construction variations from putter to putter were dictated by PING’s engineers. In many ways, it is the lack of design cohesiveness that binds all of the putters together.
Let’s move on to the new additions.
TOUR NEWS AND OPINION
Nelly Korda Deserves Her Caitlin Clark Moment
So Why Isn’t She Getting It?
Women's golf finally has the player it long needed.
🏆 Nelly Korda, a 25-year-old American with an endearing personality, has taken over the LPGA Tour. After winning the Chevron Championship, her second major victory, Korda now has won five tournaments in a row to take a commanding place as the best women's golfer in the world.
Similar to Scottie Scheffler in the men's game, Korda is simply on another level compared to her competition. She even got the bad end of the draw for the first two rounds this past week in Houston, but it didn't matter. Korda is first in Strokes Gained tee to green and second in Strokes Gained around the green, which is eerily in near lockstep with Scheffler.
Women's golf is interesting and more relatable for recreational golfers. And the excuse of not watching because the game is dominated by unrecognizable players doesn't fly anymore.
Korda is that superstar we've been waiting for.
But until the TV product gets better, the women's game—and Korda—won't capture imaginations like we should be seeing.

GOLF SMARTER
Be Stingy with Every Shot
Today’s Golf Smarter tip comes from John Sherman (@practicalgolf).
If you really want to lower your handicap, you need to be “stingy” with every shot.
When you embrace that, scoring reductions come from:
✅ Reducing bigger errors
❌ Pulling off miraculous shots
You start asking yourself better questions on each shot.
Golf is a game of skill, but it’s also a test of decision-making and mental fortitude.
Start embracing the value of each shot.
Make better decisions. Watch your scores drop 📉

👟 Under Armour Curry 1 Golf Shoe
This Lifestyle Shoe is Worth a Shot
🏀 The original Curry 1 basketball shoe (circa 2015) was the first basketball shoe I bought with my own money.
I’ve since sold the pair, but I still have a special place in my heart for the Curry 1. When I heard Under Armour was turning it into a golf shoe, I told my wife that I would do ANYTHING to get a pair. Guess who just spent the weekend building baby nursery furniture?
Nonetheless, the shoes are mine.
Let’s talk about it.
The Under Armour Curry 1 Golf. The latest co-branded UA and Stephen Curry basketball-turned-golf shoe.
Nostalgia aside, the Curry 1 might just be my new go-to golf shoe. As someone likely to never play a competitive round of golf, the Curry 1 provides everything I need (and prefer) in a golf shoe.
Is it the best-performing golf shoe I’ve ever worn? Nope. But it’s not intended to be. Under Armour’s Drive Pro is suited for the better player. For the casual weekend warrior like myself, the Curry 1 flat-out gets the job done.

Malbon x New Balance 550 Golf Shoes
🗄️ Digging Deep Into the Archives
The resurgence of Boston-based New Balance needs to be studied. Over the last three years or so, New Balance has made its way back into the closets of the world’s sneakerheads.
That meteoric rise is thanks, in large part, to the retro of the New Balance 550. But before the popular, chunky shoe took over sneaker shops and college campuses around the globe, it was a relatively unknown, low-top basketball shoe lost in a myriad of NIKE and Reebok sneakers during the 1980s.
Given Malbon’s history with New Balance and their penchant for streetwear, it was only a matter of time before the popular NB 550 made its way to the golf course.
And that brings you up to speed.
👟 Introducing the Malbon x New Balance 550 Golf: a carbon copy of the popular lifestyle shoe slightly retooled to make it appropriate for the golf course.
